| Bio: | I'm in the 5th year of a BA/BSc, majoring in genetics, psychology and the history and philosophy of science. I'm also researching how medical trials are analysed, because I think it could be done better. If the subject weren't so bloody dry, I bet everyone would be just as outraged as I am. As it is, few pay enough attention to notice the lies, the damned lies, that justify statistics.
Most of my life consists of scrambling to get to lectures, writing things the night before they're due, and compulsively clicking links on Wikipedia. You could say I have a lot to learn about time management. Every so often I conceive some mad scheme, and then am compelled to propel it to completion - for example, throwing a 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'-themed party, with piles of home-made chocolates. Luckily, my awesome housemates appreciate my insanity, and help out (probably because they're as crazy as I am, though their plans tend to involve less sugar and more meat).
I'm a weak atheist - I don't believe in God, but I could be persuaded if given sufficiently compelling evidence. I sing in a church choir, because performing new music every week keeps me on my toes. The sermons have so far failed to convert me.
I don't update this journal often. I friends-lock posts that contain anything even vaguely personal (i.e. most of them), but there should be a few unlocked, to give passers-by some sense of who I am. The most useful part of this LJ is probably the list of links below.
